Tasmanian Light and Thread is the creation of two nursing friends, Nikala and Joanna, who shared a dream of building something beautiful together. After years of caring for others in busy clinical roles, they found joy in combining their creativity to create handmade pieces inspired by the beauty of Tasmania.
"Light" represents Nikala's photography and visual art, while "Thread" celebrates Joanna's love of sewing and craftsmanship. Together, they transform Nikala's original Tasmanian images into exclusive fabric designs, printed in Australia, before Joanna lovingly handcrafts them into unique textile pieces.
